What to Bring to an Initial Consultation

We understand that an initial consultation for divorce can be a stressful time. We want to make it go as smoothly as possible. Here are four things that you should bring with you to an initial consultation.

  • Last 2-3 Tax Returns
  • Last 2-3 pay stubs
  • Copies of prior orders, judgments, or filings in your case
  • Any evidence of any abuse or domestic violence

Bringing all of these items with you will help us to get to get a clear picture of your case so that we can properly advise you about child support, spousal support, or any other aspects of your case.

Important Note:

Many people like to bring a friend or family member with them to an initial consultation for support. It is important that you realize, however, that if you bring anyone with you, you will waive any confidentiality with regards to that person. So, please make sure that if you bring someone, that it is someone that you trust,
